The tourism sector within the European Union set a record in the number of nights spent in hotels where the European hit 6.1 billion during the night of last year, during their visit to Egypt which is a record after the decline experienced by the sector during 2008 and 2009 due to the economic crisis.
It was Spain, Italy, Germany, France and Britain of the most popular destination for tourists to egypt, where they have accounted for 70% of the number of nights spent in tourist hotels in Lithuania, Bulgaria, Estonia and Lithuania between 14% to 20% over last year.
Has hit Paris a record number of nights spent in tourist in Egypt hotels, reaching 9.36 million nights during the last year, up 1.3% from what it was in the past years and the American tourists were at the top of tourists who visited France last year, then the British and Italians .
According to the Barometer World Tourism Organization, the number of tourists in Egypt rose by 4% during the last year in all countries of the world has gained Europe, including Russia, the highest proportion of tourism rose by 6% as well as for the countries of the Middle East and North Africa, which rose to the tourism rate of 8%
